About My Passion

Are we not living in the age of N+1 innovation, where me too features have become common rather than exception? Why has Apple succeeded with no-multitasking iphone, whereas nokia is not so successful with super-powerful phones? I am starting this blog out of my passion to solve problems and more so to build great products. My fundamental believe is that great products are not created by an accident. They are the result of painstaking effort to bring out the best in every quarter of product creation. This could mean building a great user experience through user-centric design, building excellent software architecture, choosing the right market for product or developing the right kind of company culture to work effectively.

Any product creation involves people in various roles and varying degree of responsibilities. Product managers, who understand the market, the customers and technology. Software Developer who works on the code. UI designer who is primarliy responsible for user-experience of the product at front end. More than the roles, what brings to my attention is how the same people when think differently (on their own or made to do so) can either create a truly outstanding product or just an average product.

I am Amit Bhatia. I have 8+ yrs of experience in online marketing, product development – online and mobile. Frequently, I wonder “how to build the great product”? Can I always think through the mechanics of building a great product? Even if I have a great idea, will other people respond to it? How do I innovate? How do I create a process which ensures that the result is a great product? These questions lead me to think new ideas, ways to improve the existing methods and new ways to analyze the user data. With this blog, I will bring forth the learnings, experiences and ideas I have experienced or thought of.
